A winter cocktail from Royalton New York

Royalton New York, a midtown boutique hotel with 55 wood-burning fireplaces, is offering a new artisanal fireplace program that combines five different wood types, bold bites and cutting-edge cocktails to create the ultimate sensory experience. Here to share one of the go-to drink creations is lead bartender Joshua Brandenburg.

“ The Vermont Fizz is all of the classic flavors of winter—the nogs, the maple and the smoke,” he says. 

VERMONT FIZZ

¾ oz. Vanilla beans
½ oz. Maple syrup
½ oz. Heavy cream
1½ oz. Gin
½ oz. Lemon juice
Brandied cherries
Splash of club soda 

Mix all ingredients and serve in a collins glass.
