Good news for US Open[1] spectators!
Time Warner Cable—the official sponsor and WiFi service provider at the tennis tournament—is serving up unlimited free WiFi[2] throughout the two-week period. The service—which has wholly expanded from last year’s 235 WiFi access points—will be deployed to practice courts (17, 4, 5 and 6, to be exact), Arthur Ashe Stadium, Billie Jean King National Tennis Stadium and all USTA common grounds. Users attending the matches can connect to two available SSIDs, USOPENWIFI or TWC WiFi between August 31 and September 13.
And that’s not all. All US Open visitors are also invited to stop by TWC Studios to meet tennis greats, like Lindsay Davenport, James Blake and Mary Joe Fernandez, for autographs and candid Q&A sessions. The interactive studio is equipped with a live feed wall, photo and video booth and free charging stations for a fully interactive experience at the Grand Slam.
