Legend has it that Fernand Petiot created the world’s go-to brunch cocktail, the Bloody Mary, at the St. Regis New York in 1934. To keep this iconic drink alive, each St. Regis branch creates their own unique twist using local ingredients. The Red Maria—a zesty blend courtesy of The St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya—incorporates Russian flavors into the Fifth Avenue recipe.
“At the King Cole Bar, we have the privilege of serving every St. Regis property’s spin on the signature Red Snapper, the original Bloody Mary which was perfected behind our bar over 80 years ago,” explains Bill Dante, lead bartender at The St. Regis New York’s King Cole Bar. “The St. Regis Moscow’s addition of beet juice creates an added richness that perfectly cuts through the cocktail’s spices to best highlight the finest Russian Vodka.”
