Nick Shields has a cocktail career that goes way back. Being a fifth generation master brewer, Shields knew from the beginning that he wanted to pursue a career in the beverage brewing industry. From working with local wineries to developing products for Pepsi and Cadbury Schweppes, Shields decided to combine all of his talents to create SpikedSeltzer—an all-natural, low carb and gluten-free drink offered in a variety of flavors containing six percent alcohol—along with Dave Holmes.
“The beverage business is simple when you think about it—use the best ingredients to make the best drink,” says Shields. “Sourcing all-natural ingredients may cost more, but the end product is always far superior.”
Here’s how to use this fruity beverage to craft a refreshing mixed cocktail.

2 tsp. Sugar
6 oz. West Indies Lime SpikedSeltzer
Fresh pressed juice of 1/2 lime
1 Shot of whiskey
Combine ingredients over ice in a tumbler and top off with SpikedSeltzer.
