A combination of rich, distinctive liquors is the defining feature of the standout Red Carpet cocktail from New York’s 21 Club. Inspired by the Academy Awards, the cocktail is a nod to the bar’s inclusion in several Oscar-winning films, like Wall Street and One Fine Day. The libation’s stunning ruby color and festive bubbly effect is sure to be the star of your Oscars celebration.
“When creating the Red Carpet cocktail, I wanted something luxurious and celebratory,” said 21 Club bartender Mark Tubridy. “The strong individual ingredients come together in perfect harmony like a great film, bitter and sweet, with a splash of bubbles for celebration.”
Here’s how it’s done:
RED CARPET COCKTAIL
1 oz. Aperol
1 oz. Taylor Tawny Port
1 oz. Plymouth Gin
1 oz. Riesling
1 oz. Prosecco
Squeeze of Lemon
Combine all ingredients, except the Prosecco, in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Double strain, to remove lemon pulp, into a Champagne flute and top with Prosecco.
