New York Fashion Week: Men’s kicked off on July 13 with glittering displays of spring/summer 2016 collections by Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and more, marking the first standalone showcase for men’s fashion in the Big Apple. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the city’s top mixologists partnered with three designers to curate nine limited edition cocktails, and DuJour snagged the recipe for a delicious gin blend by Rochambeau and Bombay Sapphire and expertly crafted by Edition Hotel’s master bartender Matthew Charles.
“The [Rochambeau] boys are inspired by juxtaposition, depth and color, which is why I chose Gothic Summer,” says Charles. “The vanilla syrup is nicely balanced with rhubarb and Peychaud bitters and the color is beautiful and striking.”
2 Parts Bombay Dry Gin
1 Part lemon juice
¼ Vanilla syrup
2 Dashes of rhubarb bitters
2 Dashes of Peychaud bitters
Pour all ingredients into a shaker and shake. Serve over ice in a rocks glass.
