“I am very much into the farm-to-table aspect of a restaurant,” Wayne Connolly, of chic Long Island getaway the Montauk Yacht Club, says. “So if my bar can be farm to table, I’m going to get it as close as I can.”
Accordingly, Connolly makes this refreshing cocktail with mint from the Yacht Club’s herb garden, blackberries from the Montauk farmer’s market and a splash of his favorite fizzy water. Of course, it’s especially enjoyable relaxing in the East End.
“There is no better place to enjoy this drink then near some water,” he says. “Poolside, on the beach or even on the back of a boat. That’s how we like it at the Montauk Yacht Club.”
½ oz. simple syrup
3 oz. Caliche Rum
Blackberry Hint Fizz Water
Muddle black berries, lime and mint together in a mixing glass. Add Caliche Rum. Shake, pour into a highball glass and top with Blackberry Hint Fizz.
