They’re beautiful, one-bedroom suites that have a full living room with a fireplace and a screened-in porch. The porches of these spacious suites overlook our lagoon waterway and are the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing breakfast while watching the snowy egrets and heron that live along the waterway.

I personally love our Carolina Suites, which reside in the corner of the Inn overlooking the lagoon, bridge and cottage area. They give the most expansive views of the property. There are two Carolina Suites, one on the second floor and one on the third. While their bedroom and bathroom layouts are similar (the bathrooms are amazing), their living spaces are very different. The second floor Carolina Suite has a beautiful living and dining room area surrounded by windows, while the third floor Carolina Suite has a gorgeous patio with a trellis and sitting area. Both are incredible in their own way, I can’t choose between the two.

Fun facts:
There are over 200 species of birds on property and growing. The number of bird species have increased due to work done by the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy since the property opened in 2004.
Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins live in the waters year-round and can often be seen while kayaking or paddle boarding in the May River (take the sunset or full-moon kayak tour for the most scenic experience).
One of our newest experiences is the Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club. It’s been incredibly popular, particularly with newcomers to the sport. It has 13 sporting clay stations and an outstanding team of instructors that can have anyone busting targets even on their first time shooting.
