One of many fan-favorite cocktails offered is Impeached, inspired by a Chinese folktale of a monkey’s rise and fall of being king of all apes. It’s a must-try to celebrate the Year of the Monkey.
“Impeached is a cocktail inspired by the flavor profile of Monkey Shoulder Scotch Whisky,” explains Shawn Chen, Beverage Director at RedFarm. “The butterscotch and apricot finish is elevated with peach shrub, while shiso leaf and Cynar provide structure and accentuate the herbaceous and malty quality of the scotch.”
Here’s what you’ll need to make it.
IMPEACHED
1½ Parts Monkey Shoulder
¼ Part Cynar
½ Part Peach shrub
½ Part Yuzu juice
1 Shiso leaf
Add all of the ingredients into a shaking tin. Shake and double strain into a rocks glass filled with two inches of ice. Garnish with a sliced peach and a monkey pick.
