Drink DuJour: The Hellfire

A cocktail not for the fainthearted

The Gansevoort Hotel’s trendy eatery The Chester is a popular destination amongst partygoers for distinctive cocktails and late night eats. Their most requested drink finds a unique balance between sweet and spicy, packing a flavorful punch. 

“When we were creating The Hellfire, we wanted a signature drink that encapsulated the destination hotspot The Chester would become,” says Luis Garcia, the Director of Service and Standards of Paige Hospitality Group. “The Hellfire, with its Jalapeno-infused tequila mixed with fresh lemon juice and agave nectar, quickly became that drink for us.” 

Ready to try it at home? Here’s how.


1 ½ oz. Don Julio infused with jalapeno
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
½ oz. Agave nectar

Add the Don Julio infused with jalapeno, fresh lemon juice and agave nectar into a tumbler. Add ice and shake. Serve in a glass and garnish with red chilies.
