Summer is finally in full swing, and it’s time to head out East. Whether you’re looking to catch some live music or give back to a great cause, we’re keeping you in the loop about the not-to-be-missed happenings from Southampton to Montauk. So get out your calendar and start scheduling!

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 28

The Montauk Beach House Summer 2014 Music Series
When:
12pm
Where: The Montauk Beach House, 55 south Elmwood Ave, Montauk
What: Hang poolside while listening to the beats of this week’s featured artists Prince Language and The Twilite Tone. Make sure to ask for a daybed when you RSVP—it’s the only way to lounge.

Benefit For The Bays
When:
5:30 pm
Where: Long Wharf, Sag Harbor
What: This exclusive event will celebrate Waterkeeper Alliance’s 15th Anniversary while raising funds and awareness to jointly support Peconic Baykeeper and Waterkeeper Alliance in their efforts to protect swimmable, drinkable and fishable waters locally and around the globe. Sweden’s award-winning chef Klas Lingberg will create a three-course dinner that will be served as guests enjoy a sail around the Peconic Bay. A dockside after-party will follow. In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring exciting travel packages and luxury goods.

FAPE Opening Reception
When:
 4-6 pm
Where: The Museum at Guild Hall, 158 Main St., East Hampton
What: The Foundation for Art Preservation in Embassies (FAPE) will be hosting an exhibition of print, photography and site-specific collections. Before the reception, enjoy an artists panel discussion.

Nature Inspires! Beaches & Bays Gala To Benefit The Nature Conservancy
When:
6:30 pm
Where: The Center for Conservation, 142 Route 114, East Hampton
What: Protect the lands and waters that make Long Island a natural paradise at The Nature Conservancy’s Nature Inspires! Beaches & Bays Gala, honoring Bobbie Braun and The Neuwirth Foundation. The annual gala will feature a very special en plein air show curated by Silas Marder and the premiere of the “My Favorite Island” video featuring Jimmy Buffett. Guests will hit the dance floor as Nashville-based band Super T Revue[5] takes the stage. A locally inspired dinner by Glorious Food will also be part of the fun.

18th Annual Heart Of The Hamptons Ball
When: 6:30 pm
Where: 151 Mitchells Lane, Bridgehampton
What: This year, the Heart Ball will honor Dr. Leonard Girardi, Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Attending Cardiothoracic Surgeon at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, with the Distinguished Service Award. The Distinguished Leadership award will be presented to the president of Stony Brook University, Samuel L. Stanley Jr., MD. Heart Heros Arnold Rosenshein and Cristina Civetta will tell their stories of survival during the Special Appeal that will be presented by New York Giant and Super Bowl XLVI Champion Mario Manningham. This year’s event co-chairs are Dr. Karl and Krista Krieger, and Emmy-winning TV and radio host Rita Cosby will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

The Pirates, Mermaids and Sailors Gala
When: 7 pm
Where: Dering Harbor, Shelter Island
What: Join The Friends of Peconic Bay in supporting the preservation, beauty and recreational use of the bay by attending a nautical-themed evening of food, cocktails and dancing to celebrate a great cause. The evening will be hosted at an elegant beachside mansion.

SUNDAY, JUNE 29

Surf Lodge Concert Series
When: 7pm
Where: 183 Edgemere Street, Montauk
What: Skip the Sunday blues and head to Surf Lodge! Spend the evening by Fort Pond sipping on something cool and relaxing to the music of the Haerts.
