3. My favorite patriotic moment in pop-culture history: I’m still nuts about the cover of the first-ever issue of George.

4. The perfect red, white and blue outfit consists of: Nantucket reds, a white Oxford shirt and a blue blazer.

5. What symbol best defines Americana, in your opinion? Who could be mad at an American flag bikini?

1. How I’m celebrating the 4th of July: I’m thrilled that the annual Macy’s fireworks show is back on the East River this year! I’ve been invited to a few rooftop parties in Brooklyn and the Lower East Side, so I’ll likely be celebrating America’s birthday with whoever has the biggest and best roof.

2. If I could choose 3 famous Americans, living or dead, to invite to a barbecue, they would be: Julia Child for the cooking, Bob Dylan for the music and Hunter S. Thompson for the stories (and adventures).

3. My favorite patriotic moment in pop-culture history: Jimi Hendrix playing the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock 1969.

4. The perfect red, white and blue outfit consists of: Something outlandishly patriotic, like Katy Perry’s American flag outfit from the Kids’ Inaugural Concert last year.

5. What symbol best defines Americana, in your opinion? Nothing’s says ‘America’ more to me than the bald eagle!
