Each week for The DuJour 5×5, we ask five editors five questions on a different topic. This week’s installment covers all things technology: the apps we can’t live without, the gadgets we’re lusting after, the number of emails in our inboxes and more.

1. A technology memory that makes me feel old: Do you remember those AOL CDs that gave you like 1,000 free hours of internet?
2. The apps I can’t survive without: Google Maps, because a large part of my job is running around the city from appointment to appointment, and Instagram, because, well, I’m addicted.
3. One gadget I’m lusting after but haven’t purchased yet: Does cable TV count?
4. The number of unread emails currently on my phone: I hate nothing more than those red notification buttons, so I just mark all as read in hopes of getting a cleaner home screen.
5. My shining moment in social media: Lets be serious—I get excited when anyone likes one of my photos.

1. A technology memory that makes me feel old: AOL dial-up, making mix tapes by recording songs on the radio, my first Apple computer that looked like this
2. The apps I can’t survive without: NextStop for subway arrival times, Uber, Spotify, Tweetbot, Camera+ and Hipmunk, the flight-booking travel app that’s changed my life
3. One gadget I’m lusting after but haven’t purchased yet: I’ve been obsessed with these clear, high-concept sound stick speakers by Harman Kardon.
4. The number of unread emails currently on my phone: 177, which is quite an accomplishment. The idea of a completely unread mailbox gives me anxiety.
5. My shining moment in social media: The time Jimmy Kimmel retweeted me.

1. A technology memory that makes me feel old: Wasting hours every night in chat rooms as a tween and getting kicked off if someone else in the house tried to use the line
2. The apps I can’t survive without: Instagram, Uber, Spotify, Dropbox, Camera+, Genius Scan
3. One gadget I’m lusting after but haven’t purchased yet: iPad Air! Knowing myself, I would rarely use it but it’s just so dang pretty looking.
4. The number of unread emails currently on my phone: 68,356…I blame Google for continually extending my storage limit.
5. My shining moment in social media: Recently my Instagram hero @shehashadit reposted my video that I tagged him in and called me “EVERYTHING” in the comments… Definitely one for the scrapbook.

1. A technology memory that makes me feel old: Pagers. My older sister and I begged my parents for years for one (still unclear why), but to no avail.
2. The apps I can’t survive without: Solar (the prettiest weather app), Feedly and Pocket for reading, and Uber
3. One gadget I’m lusting after but haven’t purchased yet: A girl can never have enough camera lenses.
4. The number of unread emails currently on my phone: 0, thank you very much.
5. My shining moment in social media: Newsweek retweeted me once. But I can’t take the credit; it was a quote from my mom. That was my social media peak.
