From the art-deco bottle to the floral punch it packs, nothing screams 1920’s glamour like St-Germain. The Elderflower liqueur recently threw its second annual Maison St-Germain in New York City, a bash hosted by none other than big-league celebrity stylist Kate Young. The decadent soirée fell somewhere between a floral dreamworld and a roaring 20’s party, and the cocktail menu was a perfect match.
Enter the Gloria, a St-Germain cocktail that screams glitz and florality. Topped with cold, dry champagne and garnished with a dried lemon wedge, the concoction checks off everything on the list of our prohibition-era mixologist fantasies. While the floral nature of the liqueur is offset by the dry champagne and lemon, it’s also complemented by the spike of Suze, rounding out the flavor for a fruity, tart summer sip.
Pretty please with a cherry on top? In lieu of a berry, try garnishing with gold dust and a spritz of Frankincense essential oil instead.
