No matter where you’re visiting from or how anxiety-inducing your trek was, the moment you step foot into Cheval Blanc[1] in St. Barth, stress seems to melt away instantaneously. Perhaps it’s the trickling waterfall that greets guests upon arrival (located just in front of the lobby), or the calming all-white color scheme, or the lavender-scented cold-towel you’ll receive as you’re waiting to check in. “Stress” is simply not a word that exists in the Cheval Blanc vocabulary.
The hotel’s elegant island vibe extends beyond the lobby and into every crevice of the property. At the beachfront restaurant La Cabane de L’Isle, for instance, you can have an indulgent three-course lunch while your toes stroke the sand, then head straight to the spa—in your bathing suit—for a treatment with luxe Guerlain products created especially for the hotel. Of course, the rooms and suites are equally (if not more) stunning: lofted bedroom ceilings, crisp white linens and bathrooms with free-standing tubs framed by oversized picture windows.
Below, Cheval Blanc’s General Manager Christelle Hilpron gives us the inside scoop on her favorite room, and the suite guests request most often.
The most requested room:
The room that is consistently the most requested is the one bedroom Beach Suite. Fortunately, we have 4 of them.
What make it so special:
They are unique because they are the only suites in St. Barth located right on the beach. They’re very spacious (1,500 sq ft.) and feature elegant furniture, plus a soft-color palette with light cottons, linens and wood floors.
Celebrity guests:
For the privacy of our guests, we prefer not to divulge the names of celebrities who have visited our maison.
The rate:
From $2,554 per night.
Your personal favorite:
The Tropical Suite.
Because…
This villa is located in the lush, tropical garden. It’s very private with an outdoor kitchen and swimming pool. Very romantic.
Fun fact:
An iconic pop star came for lunch, loved our maison, and decided to plant a tree in memory of her friend.
