“I created this cocktail for the Campari Bartender Bash during Manhattan Cocktail Classic, and was asked to use Moscow as my inspiration to develop a cocktail,” mixologist Jeff Bell, of renowned Manhattan speakeasy PDT, says. “I immediately started thinking about landmarks, then thought about Red Square and its central location in Moscow. I used it as my inspiration to make a riff on the classic Vieux Carre (which means ‘old square’ in French).”
The easy-to-make libation features notes of cherry and has a bittersweet finish, making it a tasty and refreshing drink for the steamy summer months.
The Red Square
