Drink DuJour : Bourbon Milk & Cookies

Andaz West Hollywood’s answer to Saint Nick’s late-night snack. Here’s how to make it—and serve it at your holiday soirée

It’s traditional to leave out milk and cookies for Santa Claus, but if Saint Nick stops at the Andaz West Hollywood this year, he’ll need a designated driver for his sleigh afterwards.

“This creamy blend, loaded with seasonal spices, is perfect for the holidays—not to mention, it goes over very well at large-scale bashes,” Sergio Campos, the hotel’s banquet and beverage manager, says of the popular Bourbon Milk & Cookies cocktail. “For a throwback dessert station, you can serve the bourbon milk in old-school glass milk bottles and the cookies in a vintage cookie jar.”

And whether it’s enjoyed while you’re wrapping those last-minute gifts or waiting to hear the sound of hooves on the roof overhead, Campos says this treat is definitely best as a late-night snack.

Bourbon Milk & Cookies

5 ounces whole milk
Dash of cinnamon
One vanilla bean
Sugar to taste
Dash of nutmeg
1 ounce bourbon

Preparation:
Shake ingredients together, pour over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with cookies—classic chocolate chip is best.
