April 5, 10pm Here I am with my fearless co-author Adeena Sussman, getting ready to celebrate the launch of our latest cookbook, America’s Best Breakfasts: Favorite Local Recipes from Coast to Coast, from across the globe at Forbes’ inaugural 30 Under 30 Summit EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
April 6, 9am This incredibly fresh breakfast buffet at the Carlton Hotel in Tel Aviv was a welcome sight after staying up too late. The array of fresh baked offerings smelled too delicious to pass up.
April 6, 10am I love my walks – it was a crystal clear day right outside the Carlton Hotel in Tel Aviv and I couldn’t resist the fresh air.
April 6, 12pm My partner and I with Dallal Bakery owner Andrea Leitersdorf, who we met on our first trip to Israel and have kept in touch with ever since. We couldn’t miss seeing her again... and giving her a copy of America’s Best Breakfasts!
April 8, 10:30am We took a day trip to Nazarath and had a blast at Al-Mahdi Sweets – I was trying to stake my claim on this entire tray of baklava before it was finished.

April 8, 1:30pm Had the pleasure of spending some time with infamous Israeli culinary and media personality Gil Hovav – here we are at the restaurant Claro in Tel Aviv.
April 8, 8pm Our time in Tel Aviv came to a close at a vegan dinner party at the home of my friend, architect Yossi Friedman.
April 9, 10am We of course had to head to one of my all-time favorite spots – the Mahane Yehuda Market – upon arriving in Jerusalem. I am so energized by this place and could get lost in here for days.
April 10, 9:30am These gorgeous breakfast juices (fresh mint & cucumber, fresh watermelon & fresh tangerine) tasted as vibrant as they look at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea.
April 13, 1pm After the TODAY segment with Willie & Tamron, I headed over to see Rachael Ray for a taping of The Rachael Ray Show. Forever one of the most hospitable people I know, Rachael thankfully had this delicious lunch waiting for me in the dressing room – I was famished!
April 13, 7pm My dear friends Jonathan Tisch and his beautiful wife Lizzie and Union Square Hospitality Group’s Danny Meyer co-hosted the launch party for America’s Best Breakfasts at the Loews Regency Hotel – home of the original power breakfast! I was blown away by what a beautiful job the Loews did recreating some of my favorite recipes from the book, accented by offerings from Hot Bread Kitchen and topped off by Smitten Kitchen Ice Cream.
