This is our most recent completed project, the Harbin Opera House. Harbin is very cold for the most of the year so we envisioned a building that would blend into the winter landscape, as a white snow dune arising from the wetlands.

The lobby of Harbin Opera House is flooded in natural light from the skylight above. The staircase is sculptured local Manchurian Ash welcoming the visitors by adding warmth to the space.

We have just started construction on our first U.S project the 8600 Wilshire in Beverly Hills. It's a “hillside village” that offers a variety of housing types for city residents, including three townhouses, five villas, two studios and eight condominiums. The building is wrapped in a water-efficient green wall developed for dry Californian climate.

MAD designed the Ordos Museum back in 2005. The museum appears to float over a waving sand hill, a gesture saluting the landscapes.

The UNIC Building in Paris is MAD Architects' first project in Europe. The building attempts to blur the boundary between the architecture and nature through variably stepped terraces, which extend the green space from the park into the vertical space of the building, and provides space for residents to interact with nature.

Absolute Towers is considered as Ma Yansong's and MAD Architects' international breakthrough. Quickly after their completion, the two residential towers were nick named the Marilyn Monroe Towers due to their sinuous shape.
