Dresses from Erdem (pictured) and separates from The Row—I need to be comfortable and have a range of movement while still looking stylish and fashionable. I tend to wear separates, mostly black, white, cream, camel, grey and some blue for versatility. I wear a lot of skirts or trousers with a basic tank or t-shirt.

I wear prescription progressive bifocals every day, and glasses have become my new makeup. I have clear lens frames from Celine, Tom Ford, Miu Miu, vintage Cazal and Dolce & Gabanna. They’re all big and dramatic. It's the one part of my wardrobe that is consistently a designer name.

I’ve been shopping for food at Erewhon Market since I moved here in 1998. Everything they carry is organic, in-season and fresh. It’s small and easy to navigate, but they have everything. Their vitamin and herb section is stocked with everything imaginable, and the best part is that they have a specialist for each section.

Hair Cut
I change my hair cut regularly. My coworker Kevin has been cutting my hair for the last two years. I’ve been wearing it quite short lately, in a bowl cut. I am glad that short hair is in fashion right now. It allows me to change my look often, and to have a look that reflects my personal style and wardrobe, which is ever-evolving.

The food at Joan’s on Third is excellent. I have had three Thanksgiving dinners and one New Year’s Eve dinner catered by them, and I plan to have more.

Cultural Institution
MOCA has great exhibits. I loved the Mike Kelly show last year. They have recently undergone a change in board members and I'm looking forward to what's in store. Also, it's near to where I live, and it's easy to drop by on a day off.

Hotel
Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills has the best beds and bedding. I’m a bit of a bed snob! Not to mention it's beautiful, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I’ve done hair for a number of weddings there—it's such a gorgeous venue.

Vacation Destination
My current favorite place to visit is my daughter’s organic homestead near the Olympic National Park in Washington. The Pacific Northwest is just breathtaking.
