8:00am Event time! After all of the setting up is over, we await the arrival of our guests and first things first - breakfast! I made sure the breakfast table was stocked with my favorite clean eats including raw oatmeal, chia puddings, healthy granola, and almond milk! Since I already had my breakfast earlier, I chat with everyone while they create picture-worthy gorgeous breakfast bowls before chowing down.
9:00am Shortly after breakfast, it’s time for a yoga sesh. My good friend Danielle leads us through a detoxing yoga flow to set the tone for the day. I’m gearing up to lead talks on health, wellness, and business with our guests, so this is the perfect way to center my thoughts beforehand.
9:30am Finish yoga a little early so that while everyone finishes up, I can go get ready for my talk. But not before grabbing a quick juice to stay hydrated.
10:00am Chatting it up with our wonderful guests. Each and every one is an alumna of my Nutrition School (so each is NL Certified), and they travelled from all over the United States (and Mexico) to be here this weekend! It feels so good to be able to connect with them each individually in person. Creating and fostering good relationships with people contributes to an overall healthy and nutritious life.
10:30am My girl Candice Kumai is here! She came to give a smoothie demo of one of her recipes from her latest book. Ingredients included pumpkin, vanilla, almond milk, coconut milk, frozen banana - all of that Vitamin A and those healthy fats, count me in!
11:30am Standing behind the scenes as another guest speaker presents! Needed a little afternoon caffeine pick-me-up. I have a coffee almost every morning. Caffeine isn’t necessarily bad for you - there are even health benefits including antioxidants - the trick is in not overdoing it and of course not adding sugar or artificial sweeteners.
12:00pm Lunch was this amazing green grain bowl, made by mixing quinoa with a spinach, chard, ginger, and garlic puree. It was delicious and the perfect energy packed meal to get through the action packed day.
1:00pm Joining the guests on the couch to listen to a guest speaker from Gotham Greens give a presentation on Urban Farming. Do you know how cool that is?
2:00pm The incredible Dr. Whitney Bowe stopped by to give a talk on the real connection between diet and acne.
3:00pm We finish up our lecture series with a discussion on building your wellness brand while staying true and genuine to yourself and your message. Since all of the guests at the event are involved in the wellness world in some way or another, I loved hearing everyone’s input and experiences on this topic!
3:45pm How does a room of health, nutrition, and wellness gurus finish up the day? With a workout of course. I like to vary my workouts - everything from pilates, to trx, to running, so this intenSati method sweat sesh with the incredible creator Patricia Moreno was the perfect mix.
4:00pm TNS Masterclass complete! This two day event was action packed, exciting, tear jerking, inspiring, sweaty, and fun! Between the lectures and the workouts, I’m completely exhausted! (in an amazing way).
4:30pm It’s not everyday you get to spend two days with a group of awesome, inspiring women. They came to learn, and I too learned so much from all of our alumni and felt so grateful to be able to spend the weekend with them.
5:00pm That’s a wrap! After long overworked days, I actually sometimes crave healthy, nourishing foods as opposed to indulgences. Don’t get me wrong, I crave comfort junk food too, but sometimes I just want to regroup by fueling myself with some hard core nourishing foods. I’m headed home to have a bowl of vegetable soup and a big green salad, a cup of tea, and then off to bed after a bath with lavender oil. This Sunday will definitely be for rest, relaxation, and recuperation after the whirlwind of this past week. It’s so important to take time to pamper and treat yourself to something relaxing and luxurious even if it’s just taking the time to light a soothing candle. It can make all the difference when it comes to leading your most Nutritious Life.
