The Brightest Light Off Broadway: Taylor Schilling

Taylor Schilling may be best known as Piper Chapman on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black[1], but her real love is theater. “Getting on stage is always on my mind,” she says. She currently has the opportunity to do so at the Tony Kiser Theater at Second Stage in Kate Douglas’ The Apiary[2], about two lab assistants two decades in the future. But the fact that Schilling loves stage acting doesn’t lessen her anxiety. She still gets nervous, she says. Actually, she adds, “I get nervous all the time for everything.”
