While Patrick Demarchelier[1]‘s photographs are almost undoubtedly in a luxury magazine currently on your coffee table (Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and DuJour[2]‘s own winter issue featuring Nicole Kidman[3], to name a few), it is rare that his iconic images are on display in a free-standing exhibition[4]. Now, A. Galerie[5] in Paris’ 16th arrondissement will exhibit 20 of the French photographer’s nude, black-and-white images—which originated in diverse forms, including Chanel’s advertising campaign for [6]Allure[7], the iconic Pirelli calendar[8], and Vogue Paris[9].
Desire is on display at A. GALERIE from May 13 through July 22, 2013 (12 rue Léonce Reynaud, 75116, Paris, 06 20 85 85 85). Take a look in the DuJour gallery for a preview.
