Bellissima: Italy and High Fashion 1945 – 1968[1], a gorgeous exhibition that explores the creativity that gave rise to Italian high fashion as we know it, will arrive at Fort Lauderdale’s NSU Art Museum this winter.

A project of MAXXI: National Museum of the XXI Century Arts in Rome and presented by Bulgari, the exhibition will feature more than 230 designer pieces from exquisite vintage gowns (think: a Valentino ensemble worn by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis[2]) to elegant cocktail dresses. Visitors can also expect to be wowed by exceptional Italian craftsmanship in luxury coats, shoes, hats and handbags, complemented by a collection of one-of-a-kind jewels by Bulgari from the post-World War II time period.

The exhibition will kick off with a celebratory black-tie gala on February 5 and open to the public on February 7 through June 5, 2016.
