The Most Beautiful Thing in the World Today: Louvre Abu Dhabi

Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the Lourve Abu Dhabi[1] on Saadiyat Island is a 260,000 square-foot complex influenced by Middle Eastern geography and history. An emblematic feature of Arabian architecture is the museum’s 590-foot dome. Inspired by interlaced palm leaves traditionally used as roofing material, the strategic arrangement of geometric openings in the top of the dome creates a stunning illumination.

The museum is set to open its doors in December 2015.
