1. The artist or band I’m currently listening to on repeat: The Peter Gabriel tribute album And I’ll Scratch Yours[1]

2. In my next life, I’d like to come back as Slash.

3. If I were a rock star, my rider would include the following: Rhode Island-style pizza strips, a white noise machine, hot yoga, kittens, mangoes (pre-cut), no non-yellow Peeps

4. My first album was Flashdance, and the first concert I ever went to was Roy Orbison (with my parents); Bell Biv Devoe (without).

5. If my life could be summed up in a single song it would be:  “Love Cats,” The Cure

1. The artist or band I’m currently listening to on repeat: Mac DeMarco’s new album, Salad Days[2]

2. In my next life, I’d like to come back as Shirley Bassey.

4. My first album was something I don’t quite remember, and the first concert I ever went to (by myself) was Sonic Youth at the Capital Ballroom.

2. In my next life, I’d like to come back as Beyonce, no reason necessary.

3. If I were a rock star, my rider would include the following: This is only the first page…

– Private dressing room at 76 degrees with comfortable leather sofas and chairs (not folding). Lit with lamps only, no overhead lighting.
– Cashmere blankets and pillows from Brunello Cucinelli only.
– Private bathroom with at least five full-sized white towels.
– Cire Trudon Trianon White Flowers Scented Candles lit at least 10 minutes prior to arrival.
– Surround sound speaker system with iPhone 4 and 5 hook ups.
– At least three fresh flower arrangements (two Dressing Room, one bathroom). No lilies.
– 8 bottles of VOS Still Water room temperature
– 8 bottles of VOS Sparkling Water on ice
– Fresh fruit trays. No bananas.
– Tray of fresh strawberries covered in dark chocolate.

4. My first album was the Titanic soundtrack, and the first concert I ever went to was The Beach Boys.

5. If my life could be summed up in a single song it would be: “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston

1. The artist or band I’m currently listening to on repeat: I’m on a Robyn kick. She hasn’t released a new album since 2010, but I’m looking forward to the one rumored to come out this year…

2. In my next life, I’d like to come back as Britney Spears (minus the year 2007).

3. If I were a rock star, my rider would include the following: I require that my dressing room and tour bus are stocked with an unlimited supply of JUST RED Gummy Bears, Skittles, Starbursts and Sour Patch Kids, and both must be decorated at all times with lilacs, whether they are in season or not. Oh, and à la Katy Perry, NO DIRECT EYE CONTACT from my staff members.

4. My first album was Ace of Base’s The Sign, and the first concert I ever went to was an indie-rock band called Cursive at Webster Hall, and my justification for this venue was that I had just moved to New York and didn’t know any better.

5. If my life could be summed up in a single song it would be: “Trying to be Cool,” by Phoenix. The title says it all!

1. The artist or band I’m currently listening to on repeat: Like everyone else, I’m obsessed with Pharrell Williams’ “Happy.” I saw Despicable Me 2 with my daughter its first weekend. I was part of the advance listening team!
