He always says what he thinks, and, thank God, he loved it,” the director says with relief. “He knew Steve Jobs as well as anyone, they had a complicated, deeply important friendship over many, many decades, and together set in motion the world we’re living in now. It was pretty special to get that vindication, because he would not be shy about saying, ‘You got it wrong.’”
