The Peninsula Hong Kong will host a captivating installation by British artist and mechanical sculptor Conrad Shawcross from March 22-April 5. The ADA Project will mark the latest chapter in the “Love Art at The Peninsula 2016” initiative, the hotel’s yearly roundup of exhibitions and events that celebrate creativity with a commitment to public art in Hong Kong.
Drawing inspiration from Ada Lovelace, the 19th century mathematician, Shawcross has built a visual art performance that is both unique and dramatic. Reflecting the cultural hub that is Hong Kong, Shawcross’ work beautifully conveys the city’s importance to the international art community and accentuates the well-timed excitement for Art Basel Hong Kong.
