The Album: British chanteuse Laura Marling’s latest, Once I Was an Eagle, is a gorgeous collection of love songs guaranteed to heat up any summer day. Out Tuesday.

The Play: Duncan Sheik—he of the Spring Awakening and the forthcoming American Psycho musicals—created a new score for Classic Stage Company’s production of Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle, starring Christopher Lloyd. Opens Thursday.

The Book: Elliott Holt’s debut novel, You Are One Of Them, tracks two best friends as they become involved in secrets, lies and international deceit in 1980s Washington, D.C. Out Thursday.

The Movie: Brit Marling is assigned to infiltrate an anarchist group that has been violently targeting major corporations in The East. The thriller is rounded out by a great supporting cast including Alexander Skarsgård and Patricia Clarkson. Opens Friday.
