French photographer Brigitte Lacombe has teamed up with Phillips Auction House in New York to release a selling exhibition of photographs, Brigitte Lacombe: Complicities[1], for the first time in her storied 40-year career.
The portraits (available in both black-and-white and color) capture intimate moments in the lives of Hollywood’s elite dating from 1977 to modern day. Lacombe—who has photographed the likes of Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep, Sofia Coppola and Cate Blanchett[2], to name a few—reveals an insider’s perspective on each cinematic icon displayed in her minimalist, yet emotionally charged photographs.
The collection is available in large format, limited edition prints and will be on view at Phillips from June 15 to July 30.
