Topshop[1] has some chic new neighbors. The trendy retailer, founded in London, has joined the mass of luxe shops along Fifth Avenue, New York’s iconic fashion destination.
Set to open its doors on November 5th, the new flagship boasts 40,000 square-feet of merchandise spread out between the store’s vast four floors. Shoppers can expect to find Topshop items on floors one through three, including denim, formalwear and accessories[2], and Topman designs for men will be located on the basement level. A team of fashion experts will be available on-site through the brand’s premium complimentary shopping service to offer customers style advice from their private dressing suites.
“I am very excited about the Fifth Avenue launch for Topshop and Topman, having looked for a location there for many years,” said Topshop CEO Sir Philip Green. “I believe that this corner of Fifth and 49th is both hugely prominent and perfectly located for our largest flagship store in the world, outside of our 100,000-square-foot home in Oxford Circus, London. We all look forward to welcoming many new customers to this prestigious New York shopping destination.”
The massive store is the second to open in New York, the other location being the retailer’s first stateside shop in SoHo. Topshop already has other U.S. outposts in Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and it has announced plans to open additional stores in San Diego, Washington D.C., Houston and Atlanta by the spring of 2015.
