Calling attention to all foodies: New York City’s Taste of the Nation[1] for No Kid Hungry—the highly anticipated tasting event featuring some of the city’s top chefs, sommeliers and mixologists—takes place Monday, April 24, on the East River Waterfront at 180 Maiden Lane. No Kid Hungry strives to end childhood hunger in the U.S.—something that affects one in six children across America—and the event itself will donate 100 percent of its proceeds to that cause.
More than 40 of New York’s most popular and prominent eateries will be featured, offering guests bite-size fare, craft cocktails and inventive desserts. Participating haunts include Lalito, Massoni, Dead Rabbit, Black Tail, Daily Provisions, and more. The Strumbellas[3] will also perform a special acoustic set during the event, presented by Citi.
Below, check out some of the delectable, delicious dishes set to be served during the night.
Daily Provisions: Maple Cruller
Freeks Mill: Gnocchetti, Rabbit Ragu, Guanciale, Fava Beans
Pig Bleecker: “Eggs and Ham” / deviled eggs with Prosciutto di Parma
Lalito: Curried Chickpea Tamales with Charred Poblanos

Tickets start at $250 and can be purchased on nokidhungry.org[4].
