Not Your Average Garden Party

Frederick and Lucy Danziger, Lydia Fenet, Amory McAndrew and other culturally inclined philanthropists gathered to enjoy cocktails in The Frick Collection[1]‘s gorgeous courtyard and stunning gardens overlooking Fifth Avenue. Along with music by jazz quartet The Flail and band The Bob Hardwick Sound, well-heeled guests at the annual Spring Garden festive fete—this year’s theme was “Sprezzatura: A Celebration of Italian Renaissance Poetry and Style”—took in Parmigianino’s famed painting, Schiava Turca[2]. The beautiful piece is on loan to the collection through July 20.
