You’ve probably never heard of the Fragrance Foundation Awards[1], but the ceremony has actually been around since 1949, paying tribute to the creative achievements of the fragrance industry and boasting its own Hall of Fame with icons like Estée Lauder (honored in 1974) and Marc Jacobs (inducted in 2009).
Last night, Coco Rocha and Carine Roitfeld co-chaired this year’s awards at Lincoln Center alongside presenters including polo star Nacho Figueras and model Arizona Muse. Among the evening’s winners? Tom Ford Rive D’Ambre took the prize for Men’s Luxury Fragrance of the Year, while Prive Rose D’Arabie by Giorgio Armani won the Women’s Luxury Fragrance category.
DuJour hit the red carpet to ask celebrity attendees about their first fragrance purchase, and the smells they love and loathe. Click through the gallery to see who had a penchant for Britney Spears-branded perfume—and whose favorite smell is her man in bed.
