Where The Fashion Flock Goes

Not many neighborhoods in New York receive the kind of love and attention as the Meatpacking District[1]. Home to the High Line[2] and future location of the Whitney Museum[3], the once desolate meat market is now a sought after destination for fashion, food and art. And while there’s always a chance that you catch Olivier Theyskens[4] at Pastis[5] or spot Helmut Lang’s[6] Michael and Nicole Colovos at the Standard Grill[7], we’re not taking any chances.

We caught up with some of the area’s most beloved designers at the Meatpacking District Improvement Association[8] (MPIA) first annual fundraiser to hear what makes this a “real neighborhood,” as well as their favorite hotspots. Click through the DuJour gallery to read more.
