On September 26, fashion and beauty came together at Cipriani 42nd Street for the 29th Annual DreamBall, where celebrities and industry leaders including Goldie Hawn, Lee Woodruff, Joanna Coles and Lucy Danziger rallied in support and celebration of Look Good Feel Better (a nationwide program dedicated to improving cancer patients’ confidence and self-esteem during treatment).
Hosted by CBS News journalist and award-winning author Lee Woodruff, DreamBall 2013 honored Pamela Baxter (President and CEO of LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics, North America and President of Christian Dior Couture) and Jerry Vittoria (President of Fragrances, Firmenich North America). Both honorees have been deeply involved with LGBF: Baxter was a past chair of the DreamBall event, and Vittoria has spoken highly of the organization’s workshops he’s personally attended. “It truly is amazing what an impact we can have on the outlook, self-esteem and journey of these individuals,” said Vittoria.
One LGFB participant, “DreamGirl” Colleen Williams, was also celebrated at the event. A 14-year-old FOX News veteran and cancer survivor, Williams gave a firsthand account of how LGFB’s program to provide cosmetics and makeovers to cancer patients helped her overcome both physical and emotional side effects of the disease.
Directly following the gala was the third annual after party DreamBall After Dark, where DJ Harley Viera Newton rocked the turntables while guests sipped cocktails and feasted on hor d’oeuvres.
