Talk about a well-heeled crowd. On Sept. 5, the Pool Room in New York’s Four Seasons[1] restaurant played host to a fete for shoe designer Brian Atwood[2] for his first-ever boutique at 655 Madison Avenue (it opens Sept. 27). With Nate Berkus, Hannah Bronfman, Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian and BFF Rachel Zoe there to raise a glass, international man-about-town Atwood was also celebrating his first global ad campaign (print and film were shot by Mert & Marcus). In keeping with the—what else?—shoe theme, mixologists from sponsor DeLeon Tequila[3] concocted cocktails bearing names like “The Sex is in the Heel” and “The Atwood.” Guests tossed them back with sushi and late-night cookies as they showed off their sexy Atwood sandals and pumps on the dance floor and partied to tunes spun by DJ Mick Boogie.
