Fans of Anya Hindmarch’s charming and cheeky bespoke leather goods have a new reason to rejoice: The British designer has opened up a new flagship store in New York City. The two-story Madison Avenue shop will house her seasonal collections on its ground floor and her renowned bespoke workshop upstairs, where master craftsmen will personalize products in front of the customers. Until now all personalized orders were only available online or at the London flagship.

“It feels really right,” Hindmarch says of the new quarters, “I’m very proud of bespoke; it’s a lovely way to get to know customers because you get very involved in their lives.”

In an interesting twist, the space was originally home to Paraphernalia, the famous British clothing store that catered to the likes Twiggy and Andy Warhol back in the 1960s.
