Crumb on Parchment Opens at The Webster

One of Miami’s most popular chefs now has a second bakery/café

Chef Michelle Bernstein knows a thing or two about crumbs. After all, she’s left them behind in the kitchens of some of the most well-respected restaurants in Miami, on TV as a Top Chef Master and at three of her own establishments, favorites with foodies. She recently opened a second of her bakery/cafes—called Crumb on Parchment—in The Webster, one of South Beach’s best shopping spots.

Bernstein and her husband and business partner, David, approach cooking and hospitality with a thoughtful attention to detail, evident in the new location’s sleek, modern-deco space and in the food itself. Savory and sweet co-exist happily on the menu, and Bernstein’s personal favorites include the Breakfastwich (made with fluffy eggs, kale, carmelized onions, chicken-apple sausage and melted chedder between buttered toast) and the delectable cakes made from her own mother’s recipes. Although the cafe is currently serving only breakfast and lunch, it plans to expand into dinner in the coming months.
