If anyone truly has a love for color, it’s makeup artist Stephanie Cozart Burton. So it was more than fitting that she celebrate her 2013 Daytime Emmy Award with luxury brand Malo[1]‘s richly hued winter collection.
Family and friends joined Burton alongside Malo CEO John Wilson for an intimate in-store cocktail affair amidst the line’s signature lightweight wool and fur-accented pieces while enjoying a serenade by Grammy-nominated New York jazz vocalist Barbara Rosene. The evening’s honoree was accompanied by her husband, renowned actor and producer LeVar Burton (remember him from Reading Rainbow?).
“In a house with all the competition that I have, it was really nice to have my own [award],” said Cozart Burton of her recent win. “We have a mantel at home. On the top are 13 of LeVar’s, and on the bottom of the hearth is my only Emmy, by itself,” she laughed. “I may buy a spotlight to put on it. Maybe something that twirls!”
