On November 21, George Kotsiopoulos of E!’s Fashion Police hosted Fashion Gives Back, an evening of philanthropic shopping at The Shops at Crystals. “Crystals is not just luxury, it’s high-end luxury,” Kotsiopoulos gushed to DuJour. “Super fabulous, super glamorous, all the covetable brands.”
Valentino, Dior, Lanvin, Fendi, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton and other houses participated in the benefit by donating a portion of the evening’s proceeds to local and national charities. The haute party included partnerships between Valentino and the Nevada Ballet Theatre, while Dior paired up with the Nathan Adelson Hospice and Lanvin raised funds for Keep Memory Alive.
“It’s all about guilt-free spending and a great way for the more privileged to help out the underserved,” Kotsiopoulos added.
The evening was highlighted by a spring 2014 runway show featuring looks by Roberto Cavalli, Lanvin, Donna Karan and Paul Smith. (For spring, look for fantastical florals, pop art imagery, shimmery liquid metallics and fringe everywhere.) The evening’s soundtrack was set by model/DJ Harley Viera-Newton, who supplied indie pop tunes like “If I Ever Feel Better” by Phoenix and “Sleepyhead” by Passion Pit. The fete also included a Grey Goose Lounge, a pop-up spa by The Spa at Mandarin Oriental and a San Pellegrino Hydration Lounge.
