If you have a house in the Hamptons, you may still be summering on the Long Island hamlet this year–even if the seashore’s summer-as-usual has been replaced by a new normal; no beach days, shuttered streets, and the Jitney running only for essential travel.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t still take long walks on the beach, eat takeout from The Huntting Inn, or get to-go cocktails for your next dine-in backyard barbecue. Century-old Greenwich Village mainstay bar Dante will now be opening a pop-up in the Hamptons, perfect to sip by your private pool or on a balcony overlooking the ocean. Through July, customers can place orders online and pick up their drinks from the pop-up bar, which will set up shop in a vintage car by Cooper Classics that will be located in the parking lot of East Hamptons’ Highway Restaurant and Bar on 290 Montauk Highway.
Dante’s to-go cocktail menu offers large-format packaged cartons of the bar’s signature Negronis, martinis, and spritzes, in addition to cocktail starter kits that serve 15. Available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, orders placed by noon will be ready for pick-up by 5pm same day.
