Reality television star, self-made billionaire, and new mom Kylie Jenner founded Kylie Cosmetics back in 2015 and has subsequently launched several collaborative makeup collections. From the very first Kylie Cosmetics collab with Jenner’s half-sister Khloe Kardashian to the most recent launch with Balmain, Jenner has perfected the art of working with partners while still maintaining her brand’s distinct identity.
The Kylie x Balmain limited-edition capsule collection was inspired by Paris Fashion Week and to celebrate the partnership, the collection features products that were created exclusively for the Balmain PFW runway show.
Jenner and Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director, worked together to bring together their worlds of fashion and beauty and this is only the second time Balmain has ever collaborated with a cosmetics brand, the first time being in 2017 with L’Oréal Paris on lipsticks.
The duo worked so well together that Jenner was asked to serve as the runway show’s artistic director for makeup. While Jenner recently tweeted that she was sick and unable to attend the Balmain runway show at PFW, the five-piece Kylie x Balmain collection is available and stunning.
Kylie x Balmain Kyshadow Palette
The nine shades in the pressed powder Kyshadow palette have cheeky names like City of Love, Top Model, PFW, and Night Out. The Matte Lip Kit comes in a shade called Paris that includes a blush pink matte liquid lipstick and a chocolate nude lip liner. The High Gloss is in a shade dubbed Model Behavior that appears pearlescent pink shade.
