Boston’s Newbury Street is getting a makeover, thanks to the opening of Benefit’s new 1,110-square-foot boutique. The makeup brand describes the space as a “candy store for grown up girls” that offers four waxing stations, two beauty counters and a bronzing room for airbrush tanning. “It’s our first Boston location that offers spray tanning—the perfect instant beauty solution against those cold harsh New England winters,” says Benefit co-founder Jane Ford.
The Newbury street location was a no-brainer for the San Francisco-based brand, she says. “We didn’t want to open our first Boston boutique anywhere but on Newbury street. It’s a fabulous street filled with cute boutiques, so it was the perfect Boston neighborhood to bring our sense of fun and laughter.”
