We traveled to India for the first time. Our first stop was Delhi.
From the minute we stepped foot in our hotel, a feeling of Zen washed over us.
The bold colors and geometric shapes all over India were inspiring. This is a local shop in Delhi that we thought was gorgeous.

We met with local artisans who showed us beautiful, unique pieces and we also worked on existing designs that we’re excited to put into our spring and fall collections.
Jaipur in Northern India was our next stop—the capital and largest city in Rajasthan.
This was our hotel welcome. Everyone in India that we met was incredibly warm and generous.
Once again our hotel proved inspirational in its historic, breathtaking design!

The surfaces of the Amer Fort were hand carved and tiled in the most intricate ways. We're already designing pieces inspired by these shapes.

At the Govind Temple in Jaipur. The colors astounded us, as did the stunning saris and welcoming women.
Watching female artisans work in Jaipur was mind-bending. Such detailed work hand carving each piece.
From sketch to creation
We were awestruck watching artisans continue to pass down the ancient art of block printing.
This aqua color inspired a bracelet for our spring collection.
Even the tables were a source of inspiration! We loved these shapes and plan to design a piece with the same lines.

There were vibrant colors and flowers everywhere.
At the Govind Temple in Jaipur. Mothers draw coal eyeliner on babies to ward off health problems and keep their eyes clear and healthy.
Our last stop was Mumbai. This city is so different than the others—on the water, more lush, with greenery and palm trees.

We were thrilled to meet with Maya, a local designer who employs dozens of female artisans and helps them start careers of their own. We’re working with Maya on some pieces for the fall.
