Lucky’s Steakhouse, the California steakhouse institution, has opened its fourth location in East Hampton. Founded in 2000 by Gene (of Lucky Brand Jeans) with friends Herb Simon and Jimmy Argyropoulos, the hospitality brand's East Coast expansion has been stewarded by Herb's daughter Sarah Meyer Simon. The same steak program and crowd favorites (Gene’s Filet, a filet mignon with fresh horseradish and red-wine sauce, the Lucky’s Salad with romaine, shrimp, bacon, avocado and Roquefort cheese) and the Skinny Onion Rings) are on offer alongside a varied raw bar menu. The interiors channel the classic spirit of an American steakhouse while remaining a neighborhood joint (think Jazz Age-inspired murals of East End scenes).

Hoteliers Andrew and Sarah Wetenhall (Palm Beach’s The Colony) are bringing the iconic Swifty’s restaurant to their new hotel, The Hedges in East Hampton. Swifty’s at The Hedges features an indoor/outdoor layout with seasonal florals by Lewis Miller and tables lined with Schumacher linens. “I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Sarah and Andrew Wetenhall to bring Swifty’s to the Village of East Hampton,” says Robert Caravaggi, founder of the original Swifty’s in New York City. “The Hedges Inn is such a storied and special place—rich with history and charm—and it’s the perfect backdrop for continuing the Swifty’s tradition of warm hospitality, impeccable food and a lively, welcoming spirit.
