Art Appreciation with Dior Homme

A sneak peek at the brand’s month-long installation, soon to be unveiled at the SoHo boutique along with its autumn 2014 collection

This time of year is prime for art buyers and collectors, and Dior Homme is getting in on the action the night of April 24, when the Paris fashion house unveils its autumn 2014 collection in New York. The event marks the opening of a month-long art project at the brand’s SoHo space on 133 Greene Street—step inside and you’ll be walking amidst an architectural installation created by art and design duo M/M Paris.

Kris Van Assche, creative director for Dior Homme, teamed up with M/M Paris for a second time to create a photography catalog for the collection with lensman Karim Sadli. Images featuring groups of young men fill the pages: “This could be a group of artists or art school students like the ones I hung out with when I myself was studying at the Royal Academy of Art in Antwerp,” said Van Assche, who’s currently stateside for the event.

The site-specific installation is the first Dior Homme retail space to offer the new collection for sale. Below, a sneak peek at the lamps and modules at tonight’s installation opening.
