One Jacket, Many Looks

Chanel’s newest film looks back on its most revolutionary piece. Watch it here.

“There are things in fashion that never go out of style,” Karl Lagerfeld famously quipped. “Jeans, a white shirt and a Chanel jacket.” Truth be told, the Parisian house has modernized the ever-inspired tweed piece since Coco Chanel first revolutionized womenswear in the early ’50s. Today, the jacket remains as iconic as its first wearers, which includes the likes of Brigitte Bardot and Grace Kelly.

To celebrate it’s most distinguished piece, Chanel created a new digital film highlighting the jacket’s history and evolution. The result – a three-minute film titled “The Jacket” – launched today on inside.Chanel.com. Watch it below.
