It’s finally summertime in the city! After the past few months, we’re excited for vacation season and all the great social media action that will come with it.
In March, we thoroughly enjoyed our spring break escape at the famed Brazilian Court Hotel—a Palm Beach institution that continues to be as luxurious today as it was when it opened almost a century ago.
In April, we hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate one of today’s most talked-about brands, Shinola, at Ian Schrager’s Pump Room at the Public Chicago. Back in New York, we also hosted an event at Fendi Casa with Rayon Black and Daniel Lombardi, catered by Andrea Correale at Elegant Affairs, to fête chef Marc Murphy’s new book, Season with Authority.
As April turned to May, we were delighted to celebrate society icon Paris Hilton at Jason Strauss and Noah Tepperberg’s rooftop lounge, PH-D at the Dream Hotel. To make sure you don’t miss any of our other star-studded soirees throughout the year, join DuJour Select and gain access the most relevant people, places and events “of the day,” with VIP treatment at DuJour’s cover parties, book launches, culinary tastings, movie premieres and other exclusive experiences. (Visit DuJourSelect.com to become a member.)
Of course, to make all of this possible, there is plenty of work going on behind the scenes. Our web team is always working to make DuJour.com your first stop for luxury lifestyle coverage, and we were honored to be a finalist in the Editorial Excellence category of Min’s Best of the Web & Digital Awards, among some of the hottest titles in the industry. What’s more, at the 2015 Webby Awards, DuJour was an honoree in three categories: Website/Magazine, Social/Culture & Lifestyle and App/Lifestyle, with competitors including Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, The Hollywood Reporter, The Financial Times, Tory Burch and Target.
On the cover of this issue, we are so happy to have my dear friends and today’s most charismatic Hollywood couple: John Legend and Chrissy Teigen photographed by Bruce Weber. They are as inspiring in their grace and kindness as they are attractive and talented, and it’s no wonder the world can’t get enough of them. Not to mention, they’re so much fun, and that’s what makes them perfect for our summer issue.
So get out to the beach, don’t forget your sunscreen and drop me a line if you’re in the Hamptons!
