An Underwater Wedding Ceremony

Hotel Metropole in Monte Carlo has completely redefined traditional nuptials

If scuba diving has ever been on your bucket list, there is now one especially novel way to cross it off: getting married underwater. Taking place 40 feet below sea, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo has kicked off its partnership with world-famous free diving champion Pierre Frolla to offer the underwater wedding ceremony package.

The ceremony, which would take place on Monaco’s Larvotto Beach on the French Riviera, includes all necessary diving gear for you, your significant other, plus 22 guests. The getup features a groom’s wetsuit that is designed to replicate a top hat, bowtie and tailcoat, and of course a white neoprene wetsuit with a voile skirt, pink scuba tanks and veil for the bride.

Packages ranges from $4,500 to $7,300 and include transportation to and from the water, videography, music and a reception featuring champagne and French pastries.
